When the boundary is for you to enforce, not them to approve

Proverbs 22:3

The prudent see danger and take refuge instead of ignoring what is obvious.

When the boundary is for you to enforce, not them to approve. That sounds small until it is your Tuesday morning. You do not have to deny what is happening. Christianity is not pretending. The question is whether the circumstance gets to become lord over the meaning of your life. A boundary is not a punishment. It is a decision about what you will participate in, and Jesus Christ never modeled unlimited access to every demand. You are allowed to slow down long enough to choose obedience instead of repetition.

What part of this situation belongs to you, and what part are you trying to carry for God?

Jesus Christ, I release my need to control how this turns out. Help me steward what You actually placed in my hands and trust You with what You did not. Amen.
